Leakage, Envelope, & Ducts (LED) – November 16, 2020
This one-day course teaches the fundamentals of air movement in residential structures and explores how ventilation relates to overall air leakage. Participants learn equipment setup of blower doors and duct testers including proper manometer and hose setup; equipment readings are compared to both the 2009 and 2012 codes. This course covers the major leakage areas found in homes and typical solutions. This course is approved for 3.75 BPI CEUs, 8 KY HVAC CEUs, and 8 KY Building Code Inspector CEUs.
Find out more »Combustion Appliance Zone Safety (CAZ) – November 17, 2020
The one-day CAZ training teaches students to diagnose health and safety issues where combustion appliances are in use. CAZ testing is designed to ensure there is no leakage of flammable fuels or combustion gases into the living space and that appliances are functioning in a safe and efficient manner. This course is approved for 3.75 BPI CEUs, 8 KY HVAC CEUs, and 8 KY Building Code Inspector CEUs.

This one-day course teaches students techniques to identify envelope pressure boundaries. Students receive instruction on performing and understanding zonal diagnostics to identify and locate house and duct leakage areas to help guide air sealing measures. The course teaches fundamentals of pressure differences and the effects of the HVAC duct system on vented combustion appliances. This course is approved for 3.75 BPI CEUs, 8 KY HVAC CEUs, and 8 KY Building Code Inspector CEUs.
